I'm currently developing a "smart" breadboard which senses, generates a schematic, and models a passive component circuit as it is built. The project uses a bunch of 8-channel MUX ICs to multiplex read every unique possible breadboard connection, mapping the components on the board. It currently only senses resistance. Inductance and capacitance measurements are in development.
